DBI::DBD, Oracle8, SGI IRIX6.4

I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed and configured DBI:DBD for Oracle (8) on a Silicon Graphics machine running IRIX 6.4

I've installed Perl.004_04 and DBI-0.93 successfully. However, when trying to install the DBD-Oracle-0.53 module, everything compiles OK, but running the test.pl script, I get that dreaded error:

ora_login: 1019: ORA-01019: unable to allocate memory in the user side...

I've reviewed the README.help file and followed the suggestions there as well as those in the test.pl output. To no avail, I've spent too long on this already. ;)

I was hoping that someone out there had the "magick incantation" for this combination of HW/SW -or- just some helpful hints.

Thanks in Advance,

John
