Ooops, sorry, I missed out the fourth 'R' in my message. Using the 'DD-MM-RRRR' works fine for me if I insert a short date into the database. My client app is *incorrectly* passing back a full century date (with the wrong century e.g. I input a '2001' and the app passes back a '1901'). I need to force oracle to insert a '20XX' when the date is between 1900<>1950.
