Help with crashed database

An acquaintance of mine is running an Oracle database in a production retail environment.
Their file system filled-up, and the can no longer get into some of the application.
The file system has already been cleaned-up.

He dropped support through is software vendor and cannot get help from them. They are located in the Stoney Creek (Hamilton) area of Ontario, Canada.
