Hello!

When I install a package in ORACLE8 Server for NT, I obtain the error of "too large package" (ORA-00123).

The package file is 166KB (about 3100 lines including remarks).     I installed another package of 160KB and this was OK.

The same package is instaled without errors in ORACLE7 personal oracle.

I don't want to modularize it more.

I have changed all the following variables with very large values but it does not run: SHARED_POOL_SIZE,

    SHARED_POOL_RESERVED_SIZE, SHARED_POOL_RESERVED_MIN_ALLOC,     LARGE_POOL_SIZE and LARGE_POOL_MIN_ALLOC.

(1) Must I suppose that it is obligatory to divide my package?

      In affirmative case:
(2) How it is possible that Oracle 7.3 is better than Oracle 8?
(with Oracle 7.3, I have no problems).

(3) Is it impossible to configure oracle 8 to hold that?

Thanks! Received on Wed Jun 24 1998 - 07:18:41 CDT
