Depends on what you mean by intermediary software.

We have a unix/aix based O7.3 with about 1.5 TB of optical data. Oracle can sees the jukebox cartridges as just another file system. Our setup is Amass/Crenel (?sp) on HP jukeboxes but it does have drivers between Oracle, unix and the jukes.
