Hi,
I wouldn't recommend running SQLPME (protected mode drivers) and then Windows. You might say, that SQLPME is even more memory hungry than Windows - which should explain why NOT to do it.
All though, without remembering the exact versions, one of the latest released SQLPME versions (which as far as I know is not supported by Oracle at this time) is compatable with Windows. Which machinetype to choose is a little mystery, but I would suggest "J".

I've run SQL"Forms 3.0 under OS/2 CMDs and it's definately not fun not having an underlying API to your support.

Remember, SQLPME allocates memory ... and has a little stub resident in memory. This memory is ONLY usable by Oracle .. and you need 8-16MB to run forms and reports properly depending on the complexity. This is RAM removed from your system - ei. your wordprocessing program. So think twice and then one more, before even consider having Oracle6 tools running concurrently in the Windows environment.

Another thing that I remember from the good old DOS days and Windows 3.0, is that the other requirement to have Oracle run under Windows was to run Windows in STANDARD mode. And from version 3.1 this has not been possible, and it's DEFINATELY not possible to do that in a "true" 32bit environment as Win95. So maybe the latest SQLPME version won't work running Win95 ....

I would adwise to upgrade or forget running in the Windows environment as long as you don't use GUI tools.
