Hello!!

I've used net8 and Sql*Net 2.3 in NT 4.0 and Oracle8 without any problem !!

(For the moment...)

The configuration files for net8 are in ORACLE_HOME/net8/admin and The configuration files for Net 2.3 ar in ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

So, you can configure both of them editing the files (listener.ora,tnsnames.ora) or
using the utilities:

		net easy configuration for Sql*Net and
		net8 easy config for Net8.

Then when you run (for example) Sqlplus 3.3 you're using Sql*Net 2.3 and if you run SqlPlus 8, Net8.

Regards.
Albert
