Selling Opportunities Identifier, British Airways, London (Mar 97 - May 98)
This project entailed the creation of a decision support system to optimize capacity utilization on British Airways flights. The application was based on three-tier client/server architecture. The middle layer of the application scheduled the processing of multiple client requests and batch jobs. Graphs and Reports were displayed in MS Excel, which was used as an OLE object within Visual Basic.
*Interacted with the client to understand their requirements.
*Applied Object Oriented Design techniques to the design of the application
layer using Booch methodology. *Generated pseudo code for C++ using
Rational Rose.
*Designed, developed and tested the GUI interface.

As a Senior Software Engineer worked on the following projects:
Computerization of Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) (Aug 95 – Mar 97) Designed and developed an information system for CBI that allowed the maintenance of dossiers on criminals. The system also stored detailed information about all cases being investigated by CBI. The application was based on client/server architecture with a central replication server database.
*Performed requirements study.
*Performed OOAD using Booch methodology. Involved in High Level and Low
Level Design which included identifying classes, attributes and methods,
making class diagrams, message trace diagrams, screen design, report
layouts, design of query screens and database design.
*Developed common modules using database related classes of MFC.
*Performed comparative study of GUI environments including VC++, Delphi,
Gupta SQL and Power Builder for possible use in the project.

Technology Upgrade Project, Unit Trust of India (UTI) (Jul 94 – Aug 95)
Team Member on a project that automated the entire sales cycle including
after sales services of UTI, one of the biggest financial companies of
India. The architecture was a two-tier client server database with extensive
use of Snapshots, DB Triggers and Stored Procedures.
Developed and tested forms and reports. Was part of the unit, integration
and acceptance testing of various modules.
Optimized queries using Explain Plan.
Wrote Pro*C programs in UNIX environment.
