Hi,

I want to install the latest version of the oracle backup utility and it requires Oracle 7.3.3 to set up a backup control database. I am running AIX 4.1 on an RS6000.
Can I have a 7.2 instance and a 7.3 instance on the same server? Or should I migrate the database to 7.3.3 - is this difficult?

I will just install 7.3 do a different ORACLE_HOME. Will I need a new dba group on my UNIX server? Will I need a separate listener process? Other problems?

Thanks,

Ben
