Hi, I forgot to setup the environment variables $ORACLE_HOME and $PATH. So now, I setup the correct ORACLE_HOME and PATH, and ran "lsnrctl start" again, I got the following error messages:

TNSLSNR for IBM/AIX RISC System/6000; Version 2.3.2.1.0 - Production System parameter file is /etc/listener.ora Log messages written to
/o00/app/oracle/product/7.3.2/network/log/listener.log Listening on: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(DEV=10)(KEY=RDG.world)) Listening on: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(DEV=13)(KEY=RDG)) Attempted to listen on:
(DESCRIPTION=(CONNECT_TIMEOUT=10)(ADDRESS=(COMMUNITY=TCP.world)(PROTOCOL=TCP)(Host=ribm00)(Port=1521)

Checking out the Oracle Database:
> WARNING: Oracle LISTENER process not running!
> All Oracle instances are up and running

Now the hostname "ribm00" is the old host name , we are pretty sure we changed all the configuration files from the hostname "ribm00" to "rnfs03". But why the old hostname is still being used? Any idea?

Thanks in advance. Received on Wed May 20 1998 - 13:52:54 CDT
