Hello Angel:

    If you're on a UNIX server you do not want to move the files, you want to
copy them and get everything set. After you've got everything moved you can delete the originals. For details on this subject and to avoid screwing up,
get a copy of Mike Ault's book Oracle 8 Administration and Management. There's a lot to this and it's worth planning things ahead of time. Van
