Host-based access controls

We wish to restrict access to a remote database based on the host machine a request is coming from... e.g. allow 'scott/tiger' to access the 'emp' database only if queries come in via sqlnet from machine a.subdomain.com or b.subdomain.com (but not if coming from elsewhere). Is this possible?
