This is not to answer your question. Actually I am trying somewhat same thing with Oracle8 database. I am using VC++ 5.0 for connection, but apparently my Oracle Odbc Driver (8.0.3.0.0 or 8.0.3.0.2) is not working correctly.

Can you please tell me which Oracle Odbc driver you are using , and where from I can get that and how to Install that over my existing driver ?

I have also tried to connect to Oracle8 from VB5 but that also failed.
