OO40 user never shows up in v$session ?

I have written a program which uses Oracle Objects For OLE (OO4O) to
access an Oracle 7.3.3 database.  It works.  But the user it connects
as never shows up in the v$session table, in the USERNAME column.



How can I see when my program's user is connected to the database,
and how many simultaneous connections it may be using ?
