Mike,

        I used to use the method you suggested but I found another one that uses orapwd.

  1. Rename the password file.
  2. Run: orapwd80 ... password=newpasswd ...

This works too. I wonder what's the difference besides that oradim will delete the NT service and recreates it, but orapwd just touch the password file. Received on Sat Mar 28 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
