Hi,
right now i'm dealing with similar problems (having to browse, query by completing a form in a html page and manage an oracle database via the web, html pages that is). Check out JSquery (www.jsquery.com) which seems to do the job.
Information posted back to me concerning progress to your problem would be appreciated.
