There is a program called orapwdxx where xx is the version number, e.g. for Oracle 7.3 the program is called orapwd73.

Usage: orapwdxx file=<fname> password=<password> entries=<users>   where
file - name of password file (mand),     password - password for SYS and INTERNAL (mand),     entries - maximum number of distinct DBA and OPERs (opt),   There are no spaces around the equal-to (=) character. Received on Mon Mar 16 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
