CDatabase on non-ODBC data access ?

Is it possible to use the MFC database classes when not accessing a datasource via ODBC ?

It has been decided that I must use Oracle Ole Objects to access Personal Oracle 8, and write an implementation of CDocument to do it. Can I override CDatabase, and implement my own non-ODBC data source, thus then being able to utilize CRecordset ?

Does anyone know of any articles, samples of this ?
