OVERVIEW:
Responsible for the development, testing and documentation of application
software. Must be a good project team communicator to maximize
effectiveness and ensure user needs are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop, test and document application software given general program
specifications.
* Ensure program/system reliability, data integrity and acceptable
performance through the creation of test plans and test data.
* Design and develop well structured, re-usable routines and programs.
- Develop and use library routines and generic tools.
- Develop programmer specifications for individual programs.
- Assist in the development of technical specifications by contributing to
the research and design of assigned programs/jobstreams.
- Assist in researching impacts to a system from coding changes.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of developing, testing and
implementation phases of the Full Project Life Cycle.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree with 1-3 years programming experience.
- Demonstrate good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities with limited
supervision.
- Database programming and/or SQL.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- VAX/VMS, Unix or NT.
- Oracle 7.3, SQL, PL/SQL, Designer/2000, Developer/2000, or DesignAssist.
- Experience with the Project Life Cycle.
- Knowledge of Client/Server application development.
