  1. Check to make sure you are not writing you archieve logs if your database is in archieve log mode, to the /oracle directory.
  2. Check your instances init.ora dump parameters (user_dump_dest) and look for trace, '*.trc', files within the directory; remove them and change the init.ora setting
  3. If the alert.log or sqlnet.log are being written under the /oracle directory, trim them.
  4. Look for core dumps and remove them.
  5. Make sure you are not writing export files to the /oracle directory.

Hopefully, it will be one of the above. My best guess is item #2 or #5. Good luck.
