Oracle server on Linux Redhat

Hi.

I was trying to get myself a little unix/oracle database server to play around with. As i am using Redhat Linux 4.1 on myhome pc, the most logical thing seems to install Oracle Workgroup Server on that machine (my boss doesn't want to shout an RS6000 for the purpose, the McScrooge!).

I have come across a remark, some time ago that someone succeeded in installing OWGS for SCO on Linux. But how? Virtually ALL the install scripts that come with the SCO Unixware and Open Server install packages fail, because they use alian commands (why can't everyone just switch to Linux ? - it's FREE , for God's sake).

Does anyone know whether

  1. it is possible to do this?
  2. install scripts for OWGS on Linux do exist in some forgotten corner of the net?

Regards
