Cookies on PL/SQL and on Javascript

I've tried to use a cookie to store session parameters using
Javascript, but when i store a cookie called "cookie" in javascript, I
can't see it using OWA_COOKIE.GET('cookie');
What am I doing wrong? Is there a possibility to do that this way at
all.
