GPF when installing Oracle 7 client--Solution

When installing the Oracle 8 client software, I also needed the 16 bit client, so I installed Oracle 7 client (run \Windows\Setup on the CDROM). It kept getting a GPF when 59% complete while installing Orawin\dbs\oius.sav. The problem went away when I removed the old Orawin directory (renamed, actually). It was an old directory with software from a previous Oracle 7 client install.

A possible cause is that I aborted the installation the first time when I got a message that I didn't have enough room on the disk. Maybe that left the oius.sav file corrupt.
