Permanently Setting Default Editor in SQL*Plus 3.3

Does anyone know how to permanently set the default editor in SQL*Plus 3.3? I have some big stored procedures that are too large for notepad. After each logon I use the drop down menus to change my editor to wordpad. I cannot find a way to change this through my plus33.ini file and setting the default editor is not a standard option in SQL*Plus 3.3. All of "text type" associations in my win.ini file are pointing to wordpad as the editor.
