Hi,

since shuting down NT shuts down all services Oracle will also be stopped. So no probs.
If transaction where cut an automatic clearance will occure next time you start up db.

What you want may be:

	Closing all transaction
	Shutting down Oracle safely
	and then shutting down NT.

The way you do this I don't know so far. But let's consider some points:

Is ist very urgent to shut down NT? Than rely on Oracle's machanism to back out as described at the beginning.
It may take some time to shut down: Create a link on your desktop to a comand file in which you call servermanager with a SQL-Statement that shuts down you db immediate.

Another point is: How cann NT decide the moment when Oracle is shut down by an automatically started script?
