Hi,

  1. if your NT-WS hasn't installed SPX ypu can't use it to conenct to your db.
  2. you'll need to install oracle's SPX-protocoll-adapter on your db-server in order to use SPX with Oracle.
  3. you must configure SQL-net on your server so that you'll get an listenter listening to SPX-packets
  4. you copy the generated tnsnames.ora -file out of step 3 into c:\orawin\network\admin directory of your 3.11 clients.

If you also installed oracle-spx-client on your 3.11 machines all should work well.
