Position: Oracle Database Architect (1 opening)

Location: Federal Way, WA (a suburb of Seattle) Company: Weyerhaeuser, a Fortune 200 company

Key Functions: Defines, creates and maintains the documented data model of the Containerboard Packaging systems environment. Manages the business data dictionaries, and database physical design and implementation. Defines and implements standards, guidelines, processes and tools to ensure the security, availability and appropriate use of Containerboard Packaging data.

Requirements: 10+ years of application development, analysis and database design with specialization in database administration. Master's degree in computer science, MIS, or BA with emphasis in computer science, MIS, etc. Mastery of database administration, logical and physical design, database normalization, thorough understanding of relational database models, project management methodology, ORACLE database, Image, and OS/400 relational database structures. Candidate must have estimating skills, ability to identify key aspects of complex situations, information modeling and system analysis skills, database performance diagnostic and tuning skills, ORACLE database administration, relational database logical and physical design, security skills, information mapping, and custom and commercial application knowledge.
