I suggest the Procedure Builder in Dev2k. You know you are always working against what is in the database; with editors such as notepad you get out of sync sooner or later unless you are using version control software in a disciplined manner. Plus you have a debugger. On the downside, dev2k is soooo expensive. HTH, Mark
