We are using Developer 2000 on W95 clients, working with ORACLE 7.1.6 database on SUN Sparcserver 20, Solaris 2.5 We also develop character mode applications which runs on Solaris and Developer 2000.
So, if this is what you need, 7.1.6 suppose to work properly. hope this will help,
