SQL*Net v2 and both 16- and 32-bit ODBC in a single Win95 PC

We have an Oracle 7.3 server, which only understands SQL*Net v2. We have applications which require both 16- and 32-bit ODBC in Windows95.

I understood that it should work, if I install Windows 3.X ODBC. Do I have to install Windows 3.X SQL*Net v2 too (does such a beast exist? anybody know a working version number?)?

I understood that 16-bit stuff goes into \ORAWIN and 32-bit stuff into \ORAWIN95 and I have to keep a TNSNAMES.ORA file up to date in both directories (does that imply that I have to install 16- and 32-bit SQL*Net v2, that is, a Win3.X and Win95 versions)?

If I have to install SQL*Net v2 for Win3.X to that Win95 PC, can it use the standard Win95 TCP/IP or do I have to install a 16-bit TCP/IP stack (ugh!) too? Received on Wed Sep 17 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
