You don't mention which web server you're using, which is a bit of a hindrance in answering your question. However, assuming that you're using the Oracle web server version 2 or 3, you can always use database authentication, and give people OPS$ Oracle accounts, which will map automagically to your NIS+ usernames. This means two matching accounts for everybody (Unix + Oracle), but administering that can be automated pretty easily.
