Oracle long datatypes

I am trying to create an global view of consolidated data from 8 or more separate instances of identicle Oracle databases installed in regional offices connected by a WAN. The databases contain several fields of datatype long. Oracle 7.3 does not support unions or snapshots of tables containing the long datatype.

Can anyone suggest a middleware product that can create a logical global instance of identicle, distributed, homogenious databases? Replication is not neccessary and our need is read-only for reporting purposes. Received on Fri Aug 01 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
