Oracle Auditing System Tablespace Fragmentation Issues

What are the ramifications of enabling Oracle auditing. If was told by an associate that enabling auditing will seriously fragment the system tablespace and degrade performance. I was considering only auditing failed login attempts and a few database actions such as modifications to stored procedures.

Has anyone had experience with auditing they would care to pass on?

If Oracle auditing does fragment the system tablespace what counter measures could be employed.

Thanks in advance. Received on Wed Jul 23 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
