Free/Shareware Data Mover?

Hi,
I developed a handy little utility on the mainframe (not a dirty word), which copied data
from one version of a table to another.

Given the input and output - instance/database, schema and table name, a select
clause to limit the data returned and any column renames, it will copy the data
filling any not null columns with zero, blank or a default date as appropriate.
Requests can be batched and sent to a background processor. We have found this utility very handy for developers.

Our new environment is VB4-WindowsNT /Oracle-AIX. Is anyone aware of such a utility in this environment? If you are, please post and/or E-mail.

Thanks in advance.

BTW - My utility is for VM/ESA, SQL/ds if anyone is interested. Received on Fri Jun 20 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
