The same problem was in xBase drivers. They did not allowed '<0>' characters in STRING fields. It seems, this problem was fixed. At least, in C4B1 all ok.
From my plays with Oracle Connect I know that it loves CSTRINGs more than STRINGs and, of course, for CSTRING fields there is no problem with '<0>' inside value.
