Re: Oracle <-> ODBC <-> Mac

When I contacted Visigenics, they informed me that their ODBC drivers will not work with Microsoft products. The Intersolv solution is the only one I've noticed to work as of yet. However, with 1500+ users, I am in need of a lower-cost solution. For a lower-cost, easy-maintenance solution, I am looking into August Software's ODBC router. However, this soluting also seems somewhat costly, as the per-user cost is somewhat high and it requires multitudes of servers as your user base expands. Has anybody had any experience setting up a 3-tier Mac Excel to Oracle system? I was thinking of somehow opening up a socket from the client to a 2nd tier, which will open a DB connection and return information to the client (Mac Excel). I just don't know what to use.
