ODBC problems

Hello all. We are trying to use MS Access 2.0 to connect to our Oracle 7.2 database server via ODBC. Unfortunately we have been having intermittent problems with the ODBC drivers. They will work fine for a while, then all of a sudden will no longer be able to connect to the database. We have tried Oracle's '94 Oracle7 ODBC driver and Oracle's '96 Oracle72 ODBC driver and both exhibit the same symptoms.

Our target platforms are still running Windows for Workgroups 3.11, so unfortunately we can't upgrade to the newer programs. However internally we are using mostly Win95 programs, so our development environment is Win95, SqlNet 16-bit 2.2, MS Access 2.0, connecting to our Unixware Oracle 7.2 database server.

We intend to try the MS ODBC 2.0 drivers, but unfortunately they are back-ordered at least until June 2, and they said it could well be several weeks past that before we are able to receive them. That is not a very satisfactory solution given that we are paying expensive contract Access programmers daily and the time spent dealing with this problem is basically just throwing money down the drain.

I would greatly appreciate any advice, or if anyone already has the MS ODBC 2.0 drivers and could help me out, I do have a MS order number to prove that I have in fact already ordered the drivers. Please email any responses in addition to posting. Thank you.
