You need to get two programs: DBI and DBD::ORACLE. look at www.hermetica.com/technologia/DBI/ download and untar the DBI first then the oracle module. It installs easy. You have to have perl5.003.

The original oraperl was written for perl 4.036 only.

Hope this helps but I don`t think this is a linux problem, The last I knew oracle doesn't have a linux port.
