I'm not aware of any cheap Oracle training in this area, other than the usual 'on the job' training. Perhaps using Workgroup Server or even Personal Oracle 7 (trial versions available from www.oracle.com) could help bring you up to speed in certain areas of Oracle ?

I was once told that I shouldn't put COBOL on my CV/resume and I know for a fact that there are quite a few COBOL programmers earning more than I do as an Oracle DBA. In short, don't believe everything that you are told.
