Hy everybody,
just a stupid (and hopefully easy to answer) question. How do you set up Oracles ODBC Driver?
I've done the following:
-installing SQL*NET
-installing SQL*PLUS
-setting up the tnsnames.ora
-testing the connection with SQL*PLUS (runs wunderful)
-setting up the ODBC driver from the same CD
-testing with ODBCT32.exe---->ERROR
I tested the ODBC connectivity with annother driver, he runs correctly with ODBCT32.
Here are the params of the Oracle ODBC driver:
Datasource Name:gcam50
Description: Test
Connection String: gcam50 (the same I created with SLQ*NET easy
configuration)
This all is Oracle 7.3 (Client) on windows 95. With ODBC driver manager 3.0
OracleError Messages:
SQLSTATE:08003
Native Error Code 0
Driver Message: [Oracle][ODBC Oracle Driver] Connection not open
and after return:
SQLSTATE:0100
Native Error Code 0
Driver Message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver returned
invalid (or failed to return)
SQL_DRIVER_ODBC_VER:%s
Please help meeeeeee!
