changing dynamically values of items

Is there any means to change values of certain items in a record of the same block depending on values of items in another record of the block (dynamically) ?

Example

x1 | x2 | x3 | x4 |
y1 | y2 | y3 | y4 |

---

I would like to replace the value of x4 bya certain value calculated from y4 in the when-validate_item trigger of the item y4 ... dynamically

Is it possible with Dev2000 ? If it is, how ?
