Ad-Hoc query tools

I would be intersted to know what people are using as End User query
tools instead of the much loved (joke) data query and browser
products.



Does anyone know what Oracle themselves are planning in this area ?



I am looking for products that do not have a tendency to swamp a
servers resources or allow there database usage to be controlled.
