Hi Pro's

On an data entry screen in Forms 4.5 I have several textitems and pulldowns. Most data on this screen needs to be entered twice ( to create two records) but the only difference between these two entries is a list item from a pulldown. Here comes my querstion. Is it possible to sort of dynamically, I guess under the commit button to have a when button-pushed-trigger that says if item A or item B is only selected then do one record (a regular commit) if Item A and B is selected, then create one record with Item A (without item B) , and duplicate the entire record (without A, but B instead). I Looked at duplicate_record. Any ideas from you guys ??? Or can I do this with get_item_properties, or get_block_properties ???

That would save our order folks a hell of a time if both records could be created , simply when both arguments are met, if only one of the both arguments are met, then create only one record. My problem is that the record is not an existing one that I want to create, but the one that I has just been typed in, before it is commited.

Any suggestions are appreciated, either here in the group or per e-mail

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to read this. Jens
