It is the PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE table created by PUPBLD.sql in the Oracle supplied scripts.It allows one to add additional security steps beyond the grant, role security features. For example, disabling certain SQl commands from SQLPlus. It is discussed in the App E of the V3.1 SQLPlus User Guide and Reference (the one I have access to). Hope it helps.
