Web Server Problem

My applications writes retrieved records to an OS file which a user can select. When the number of records are below 1000 (approx) everything is fine but if the number of records retrieved and written are more than that (approx) then the Web Listener dies. Also the database goes down. I have to restart the database and the listener.
I think there might be some parameter which I need to set and which I haven't. If anybody is having similar problem and have found a solution I would appreciate if you would share with me.

Thanking you in advance.
