ORA-00310 How do I specify other LOG

My most recent LOGFILE can't be read anymore. Do to the fact, that the tapedrive is damaged, we do not hace any backup files. How can we specify the previous logfile.

If I do a
recover database using backup controlfile;

I am asked to specify a certain Redlog with Number X. This file can not be read. Ho do I specify the Redolog with X-1.

Need Help fast
