If it were tolerable, you might also consider making the redo logs so large that they do not switch except 'on command'...ie in the evening or during off peak hours....by way of a sql script that forces the switch . This depends on how good your other 'protections' are....I wouldn't try it unless I had UPS on the system and the drives mirrored (at a minimum) to minimize the chance of losing an on-line redo log.
