Stupid question

I'm trying to work with Oracle 7.3.2.2 using Oraperl. When I log at consol, everything is fine, when I remotely log via Unix and try to run the same script, I get:

Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-01019 at examples/ex.pl line 6.

So, I guess the question is: how you log into Oracle environment remotely via Unix machine?
