I suppose you are using SQLPlus and there you can set the character used to prefix substitution variables with e.g. SET DEFINE '#' or disable scanning for variables with SET DEFINE OFF or SET SCAN OFF. Received on Tue Feb 11 1997 - 00:00:00 CST
