If I read you post correctly you seem to be having problems creating files of greater than 2 GB. This is a typical limit with 32 bit Oracle. This should not be a big deal since typically you get 1022 open files at 2 GB per file for a total of 2 TB of data. This is typically enough for 700 GB of raw data base data (not indexes)
